Play And Imagination

As
I drove into Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge on a clear
evening, I was awestruck by the fullness of the moon, as its
soft presence glowed upon the majestic skyscrapers. The skies
were lit with brilliant colors, reflections of these well-lit
giants. They were greater than any ancient pyramid ever made.
They were magnificent, beautiful, and powerful.
Captivated
by the scenery, I said to myself, "Man must truly be
great to have the ability to build such enormous structures,
one brick at a time." As I arrived into Manhattan and no
longer in view of the New York City skyline, a still small
voice whispered, "Before the first brick can be laid,
you must first create it in your imagination."
As
these words unraveled in my mind, I became overwhelmed with
the realization that the ancestors of these majestic structures
were first a thought, an idea in someone's fertile imagination.
Amazed by this creative ability, I asked myself, "How
could someone tap into and develop such power and imagination?"
After
years of research and meditation, I have learned that a creative
imagination is not just developed over night, but supported
and nurtured from childhood, since this gift is given to all
children at birth.
Have
you ever given one of your children time-out just to return
later and find them on the bed or floor playing with a fuzz
ball? This is evidence of their imaginary ability to entertain
themselves with a toy they have created from dust. By taking
advantage of this awesome ability that our children possess,
we, the parents, can make our job easier by simply supporting
and nurturing this precious gift. Now, the next question is,
"How do I, as a responsible parent, do this?"
There
are different ways of doing this, but the most popular and
least expensive way is with toys. And, not just any toys,
but with simple basic toys like dolls or action figures. Have
you ever given your child an expensive hi-tech electronic
toy just to find it months later at the bottom of the toy
box, or at the back of the closet somewhere? These wonderful
gadgets are "dust covered" because they do not challenge
and stimulate your child's creativity. In fact, all these toys do
is bore them since they leave very little for their hungry imagination.
Your
child loves, wants, and needs basic toys like dolls because
the simplicity of a doll leaves it all to your child's imagination.
By helping your child exercise their creativity and imagination,
you are helping them to believe in themselves
and in their ability to create their dreams and desires.
Little
girls have played with dolls for thousands of years. In
fact, dolls have been around since before ancient Egyptian
times when they were made from wood and straws. (The only other
thing I believe has been around this long is the straw broom.)
How
can dolls have passed this extraordinary test of time? It
is due to the fact that dolls challenge and stimulate little
girls imagination. This is very important for them
when it comes to play, since the activity of play happens
within the imagination, and not with the toy as it would appear
to us. The toy simply ignites their imagination and they
are off and running, building a skyscraper somewhere.
In
a male-dominate society, it is believed that being a man gives
you a greater edge on life. The truth is, in the realm of
imagination there is no gender, there is only an infinite
field of pure potentiality. This is very important for our
daughters to know, since this will level the playing field
for them. The only true edge any child has
in creating a successful life is not dependent on what gender
or race they are, but on their ability to access and activate
this infinite field of pure potentiality.
This
is what dolls have proven to do. They have proven to nurture,
support, and improve your daughter's natural ability to access
and ignite this infinite field of potentiality. Thus, allowing
for her imagination to be open, creative, and explosive!
Unfortunately,
some parents do not know how to nurture their child's imagination.
The result is that these children's imagination and creativity
become dormant over the years from little or no use. This
becomes dangerous, since it is from our imagination we create
our lives. In other words, a creative imagination will highly
contribute to an abundant and purpose-filled life. A dormant,
or low active imagination, will result in a dull unfulfilling
life.
Our
dolls are specially designed to help nurture your little girl's
imagination and creativity. By giving her one of our beautiful dolls,
you will not only be laying one brick of many to help her
build a strong foundation for successful living, but you will
also be giving a clean, open canvas for her to paint a world
only she can imagine and create.
